Tool mechanic (m/f/d)
Work field
Your duties as tool mechanic include making punch tools, bending devices, and manufacturing cast and injection-moulding forms for industrial series production. You will also make metal and plastic parts. The metals are worked by means of drilling, milling and eroding and finished to precise dimensions.
Apprentice course details
• Analysis of mechanical cofunctions

• Building components for pressure, punch and pressed tools
• Making mechanical components
• Assembly and disassembly of tools, machines, systems and equipment
• Commissioning, troubleshooting and repair
• Installing individual tools in machines
• Working in production halls or workshops
Requirements
• A good secondary school leaving certificate
• Manual dexterity and good technical understanding
• Good knowledge of maths and physics
• Spatial imagination
